Bill Hosking W7JSW William (Bill) Hosking passed away peacefully on December 15, 2023. Bill was born to Everett Hosking and Lucille Kammerdiner in 1940 and raised in Long Beach California by his grandmother Mary Lou Hosking. He attended Long Beach State University where he met his wife Claudia. Bill served in the US Navy as Lt. Commander before moving to Arizona to work as an engineer for Motorola in 1972. He enjoyed his involvement with his daughter’s activities, OLPH parish and amateur radio. After the passing of Claudia in 2009, Bill was blessed to find happiness with his companion Jennie Folts. In 2022, due to health concerns, Bill sold his house of 50 years and moved into the Gardens of Scottsdale. “Mr. Bill” loved the Garden’s staff and was well cared for by them and by the Hospice of the Valley until his passing. Bill is predeceased by his wife Claudia and his daughter Wendy and survived by his daughter Allison Suriano (Tom), and his grandsons Michael and Vincent Spivey. There will be a funeral mass at OLPH on Thursday, December 21 at 10:00 AM followed by a private interment at Green Acres. Family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Rosie’s House or St. Vincent De Paul.
