They have agreed to maintain low table costs for our club and we continue to play on Thursday nights starting at 6:00 PM. The regular members that show up vary between 3 and 6 players though generally we still have 'enough' (four) to play round robin 9-ball tournaments. The player to improve the most significantly this year has been Gary Kappas. I think the time away from a steady job has left him more time in the pool hall. That or just showing up more consistently is the key to his improvement. The bank account is now down to the level of its lowest mark since I have been in the club. As treasurer, I have either failed you or done a spectacular job of spending the excess. Of course, we are on our own now financially and Motorola nor any other main Valley sponsor participates to our delinquency of spending time in a pool hall. The city of Tempe and now the state of Arizona ensures that we no longer spend it in smoke filled rooms. We might still be delinquents, but healthy ones none the less. Come out, enjoy a few games of pool with good friends in a great environment. Respectively submitted, Paul Bennett Secretary and Treasurer Blind Squirrels Billiard Club
